Blog #14 - Starting to Say a Painful Goodbye

  Candidate Name: Caitlyn Hamrick Week of Reflection: November 22, 2024    Rate your overall experience of the week: 5 Seven questions to end your week: Observe : What pleasant surprises / accomplishments did I achieve this week? Pleasant surprises and accomplishments that I achieved this week would be that I am on the verge of completing my Philosophy Video, and when I started this video, I was nervous and felt defeated like there was no way I could make a video to the quality that I need to, and it is starting to come together, and that is a big relief. Another accomplishment for me this week is that I was able to construct my list of 15 educational resources for my portfolio. I also updated and drew the conclusion, based on my evidence that I met both my school improvement and professional development plan goals, and I am very excited to report on that. Blog 13: Almost There

  Candidate Name: Caitlyn Hamrick Week of Reflection: November 15, 2024      Rate your overall experience of the week: - I would give this week a 4 because the week was by no means perfect with some non-preferable surprsies, but I accomplished and made some great memories with my students this week. Seven questions to end your week: Observe : What pleasant surprises / accomplishments did I achieve this week? Pleasant surprises and accomplishments that I achieved this week would be going on my first field trip with my students, now it was to Gardner-Webb, but it was still great to experience something with them in a fun setting outside the classroom. I also had a fun run with my students this week, and it was really fun to see them excited for this event. It was a great bonding experience. Blog #12 Week with a Low that Became High

  Candidate Name: Caitlyn Hamrick Week of Reflection: November 1st, 2024      Rate your overall experience of the week: 3- I would give this week a 3 because there is nothing that I can say that was exponential about the week but nothing too awful either.  Seven questions to end your week: Observe : What pleasant surprises / accomplishments did I achieve this week? Pleasant surprises and accomplishments that I achieved this week would be writing and submitting my educational philosophy because that was great to get out of the way and have lifted off of my shoulders. I would say that another accomplishment this week would be that I also wrote my final 2 global awareness lessons for the semester and I have set instructional dates for them. Pleasant surprises and accomplishments that I achieved this week would be filming footage for portfolio video, drafting my educational philosophy, experiencing my first glow day with my students, which is a tradition at Boiling Springs Elementary where the students have a glow in the dark party on Halloween and complete a series of math challenges. We also did a squid dissection today, so I got to have an extremely hands-on experience with my students and have a learning experience with them that they will remember for the rest of their lives. I also completed my second global awareness lesson on global government types as an extension of my integrated studies lessons the previous week on elections.
